Everyone loves a good pesto to use with pasta, spread on a sandwich, add to soups, potatoes or other vegetables. This recipe yields about 6 servings and should be heated up just before use. You can also substitute part of the basil leaves in this recipe for our Baby Hemp Leaves for a little different twist.
1-1/2 cups of fresh basil leaves; 2 cloves of garlic; 1/4 cup of pine nuts or other nuts; 1/4 cup of finely grated parmesan cheese; 1-3 grams of ground Raw Hemp Flower; 3 tablespoons of olive oil; 2 tablespoons of sour cream or yogurt
First grind in a food processor the 1-1/2 cups of fresh basil leaves, 2 cloves of garlic and 1/4 cup of pine nuts or other nuts. Process until the mix is thoroughly pureed. Put it in a bowl and add 1/4 cup of finely grated parmesan cheese, 1-3 grams of ground Raw Hemp Flower, 3 tablespoons of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of sour cream or yogurt. Thoroughly combine all ingredients. Store for an hour or so before using to insure that all the flavors have marinated together. Heat up just before use.
